VAG PCV Valve Oil Separator 06K103495BM - MQB EA888 GEN 3
Failed PCV Oil separator is a common issue on EA888.3 engine commonly fitted to GTI/R MK7/7.5 & A3/S3 8V/8.5V. Failed PCV valves causes high engine oil consumption, sludge build-up, oil leaks, high fuel consumption.
Early Mk7 models are especially prone to this problem, and upgrading the PCV to the latest revision may help reduce oil consumption. However, oil usage can have several underlying causes, so this should not be considered as a guaranteed fix.
