VAG Genuine Coolant Reservoir Bottle 5QD121407H for MQB platform EA888 Gen 3 1.8 TSI & 2.0 TSI engines.
Coolant reservoir bottle is one of the common leaking point on these vehicles. Hairline cracks form and can eventually cause a slow leak. Coolant can also leak through the electrical connector through the pins.
The old iteration of the reservoir often have a silica gel bag in the coolant expansion tank to maintain G13 coolant, but these can burst and clog the heater core/cooling system, causing overheating which then was eliminated in the new revision.
